About Mercury Lazer Wash

Mercury Lazer Wash is a car wash in Newport News, Virginia. It is listed at 8268 Chestnut Ave, Newport News, VA 23605, which places it among the local businesses of Newport News that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Car washes in the United States come in four main formats: the express tunnel, where you stay in the car while a conveyor pulls it through brushes or high-pressure jets; the full-service wash, where attendants vacuum and wipe down the interior after the tunnel; the self-service bay with a coin or card-operated pressure wand, foam brush and vacuums; and the hand wash, where a crew washes and dries the car by hand. Touchless tunnels skip the cloth brushes entirely and rely on chemicals and water pressure, which is gentler on paint but less effective on heavy grime. Most express chains sell an unlimited monthly plan, usually priced at two to three single washes, that is only worth it if you wash more than twice a month. Gas stations often bundle a discounted wash with a fill-up.

Newport News is in Virginia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Newport News follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

If your machines couldn't handle the cold weather, then the establishment should have closed for the day. The car wash stopped working before it could rinse and dry my car. I did not receive the service I paid for. There was a person there (fixing the carwash) who hand rinsed (finished washing my car again) in the self serve bay...thank you. I could not dry it, and I had ice on my mirrors and window shield as I was driving home. I do not plan to visit this establishment again.

Has been upgraded in a year or two. I only use power wash. Since upgrade seems fine Everytime. Recommend like anywhere with coin or cash service, get a nice stack of 1s or quarters from the bank .. much better. People do like to destroy the coin changer with the crumbled up money. Stuff from the bank is perfect. Its 3$

Got the second best wash and got charged for $12. It didn’t begin to clean. Most of the nozzles didn’t work and the drier was a joke. Do not waste your money here

This thing only washed half my car, literally left soap EVERYWHERE. Not only that, but they charged me 12$ for a 5$ wash, can't figure that 1 out.
